ErtelAlsop Pak® depth filter cartridges, also known as depth lenticular filter modules, are available in several configurations and options. Lenticular cartridges, or modules, are manufactured in 12 inch (30.5 cm) or 16 inch (40.6 cm) diameter and include from 5 to 18 stacked lenticular filter cells. A Pak® is assembled from varying numbers of filters cell. Each filter cell is comprised of a pair of MicroMedia®, AlphaMedia® or MicroClear® depth filter media sheets where the edges of each pair is sealed by a patented process, using polypropylene. The assembled unit resembles a stack of double convex lenses, hence the term “lenticular.”
To meet the demands of various applications, depth filters can be supplied with options including water removal, pharmaceutical grade material, or polypropylene filter media.
Why do customers love our Pak® Cartridges?
The Zeta-Pak depth filter module is manufactured with MicroMedia providing a relatively high flow rate, zeta potential and superior retention of ultra-fine particles. The workhorse of ErtelAlsop Pak filter cartridges, the Zeta-Pak depth filter module can be used in virtually any application, as it provides the greatest retention efficiencies of all media series.
Offering all the benefits of depth filtration plus the ability to capture free and emulsified water from your product, the ZetaDri-Pak Water Removing Depth Filter Cartridges allow for easy change out, low labor costs, optimized filtration area and high solids loading. Utilizing ErtelAlsop MicroMedia the 16-cell ZetaDri-Pak Water Removing Depth Filter Cartridges holds a minimum of 148 ounces of water. The need for change out can be determined by simply monitoring differential pressure.
The ZetaDri-Pak removes water from silicones, oil based food products and specialty chemicals. The ZetaDri-Pak also eliminates water induced hazes in clarifying the oils.
The ZetaDri-PakWater Removing Depth Filter Cartridges is available in all grades of ErtelAlsop media and can be utilized in various applications where water is a problem. From flavorings to oils, the ZetaDri-Pak Water Removing Depth Filter Cartridges will provide the retention level your application requires.
The original lenticular cartridge, the Disc-Pak depth filter cartridge, is specially formulated for the precise filtration of liquids in the light to medium viscosity range. From applications such as lubricating oils, dielectric oils and coolants to syrups, beverages and perfumes, the Disc-Pak, with ErtelAlsop 100% cellulose AlphaMedia, may be used where particulate retention is the purpose of filtration. Disc-Pak depth filter cartridges are available in several grades to allow retention down to 1 micron.
The Bio-Pak Depth Filter Cartridge was the first U.S. manufactured double O-ring filter element. This depth filter cartridge is designed specifically for use in critical applications, providing the utmost assurance that no bypass will occur at cartridge sealing surfaces.
The Bio-Pak depth filter cartridge for the Pharmaceutical market provides relatively high flow rate, positive electrical charge and superior retention of ultra fine particles. From the downstream processing of biopharmaceuticals, plasma fractionation and the bulk filtration of culture media, topicals and intermediates filtration, the Bio-Pak Depth Filter Cartridges will provide the result your application requires.
The AquaKv-Pak depth filter cartridge was designed and developed specifically for the retention of water contamination in transformer and turbine lube oils along with the retention of particulate down to the sub-micronic level. This Pak lenticular cartridge concept combines the particulate retention capabilities of the Disc-Pak with an enhanced capacity for the retention of free and dissolved water. The AquaKv-Pak depth lenticular filter cartridge demonstrates mechanical shutoff when fully saturated with water. Particle retention does not affect water-holding capacity, which has been documented at up to 120 ounces per full 9-cell Pak lenticular cartridge. The use of AquaKv-Paks and an ErtelAlsop Pak lenticular cartridge housing can recondition dielectric fluids to meet or exceed ASTM and manufacturers’ standards.
