Pak® Lenticular Stacked Disc Cartridges
In 1942 one of our engineers met with a customer in a parking lot and presented him with the very first stacked disc lenticular filter cartridge, the Disc-Pak®. The customer had requested a filtration system, which was enclosed and would allow for a fast change out when the filter became plugged, in order to minimize exposure to the operators. The original construction was somewhat primitive, but the concept has been continuously improved with available technology. ErtelAlsop Stacked Disc Pak® filters are made with our high quality Cellulose filter media, polypropylene, and optional stainless steel. This makes them compatible with most products and applications within the pharmaceutical, chemical, cosmetic, electric utility, and food & beverage industries
ErtelAlsop offers the widest varieties of filter media available including 100% cellulose filter sheets, cellulose and diatomaceous earth, cellulose and perlite, and cellulose, diatomaceous earth, and activated carbon. Our pharmaceutical grade media is manufactured to the stringent controls of our Drug Master File located at CDER and is supported by ErtelAlsop Validation Guide for Pharmaceutical Grade Depth Filters.
Available Products
Zeta-Pak - High flow rate, positive electrical charge, and superior retention of ultrafine particles.
ZetaDri-Pak - Ability to capture free and emulsified water from your product.
Disc-Pak - 100% Celluslose - Filtration of liquids in the light to medium viscosity range.
Bio-Pak - Pharmaceutical grade media with double-O-ring gaskets.
AquaKv-Pak - For the retention of water contamination in transformer and turbine lube oils.
Features
Highly Efficient Particle Retention
All Pak® cartridges utilize ErtelAlsop depth filter media, which provides a wide range of particle retention with high solids loading capacity. Nominal retentions range from 0.25 to 15 microns.
Sizes Available
Over 300 precision dies are available to fit virtually any filter press.
High Solids Loading
The complex matrix of fibers and particles of filter aid create a structure which allows for greater concentration of particles than most surface retention filter media.
High Efficiency and Zeta-Potential
All ErtelAlsop filter media with filter aid and/or carbon exhibits a positive Zeta-Potential over a wide pH range. This allows for the removal of negatively charged particles smaller than the pore size of the filter media, providing additional solids loading capacity.
Wide Compatibility
Pak® elements use cellulose/filter aid media, polypropylene, stainless steel, and appropriate elastomers, which allow for excellent product compatibility. ErtelAlsop also offers the Pak® with polypropylene filter media, if cellulose or filter aid are not compatible with your product.
